Nestled on a tranquil, wooded 26-acre site just north of Houston in Conroe, Texas, Touchstone Neurorecovery Center is dedicated to providing individualized, compassionate post-acute care for persons with acquired brain injury and other neurological disorders.   The rehabilitation services and programs offered specifically focus on restoring community and vocational involvement and overall quality of life.

Our world-renowned, specially trained medical and healthcare professionals deliver a full continuum of care in family-oriented, home-like surroundings. Led by Dr. John W. Cassidy, one of the world's foremost neuropsychiatrists in neurobehavioral, Touchstone utilizes a medically driven, team approach that includes an on-site medical director, multiple physician assistants, and 24-hour nursing coverage. Our brain injury rehabilitation programs focus on reintroducing life skills specialized to our resident’s recovery goals.

Each resident has an individualized schedule of formal therapies, educational sessions, and activities to help realize their full rehabilitation potential. Days at Touchstone are filled with opportunities for re-learning and mastering of orientation, cognitive skills, physical strength, endurance, activities of daily living, and vocational skills.

A patient may enter Touchstone with minimal functionality and behavior issues and finish their stay at Touchstone as part of our Community-Based Living Program. Our goal in all we do at Touchstone is to help individuals with known or suspected brain injury or neurological deficits progress to their highest functional level and independence possible.
