Because of the scope of services available at Touchstone Neurorecovery Center, we are able to meet the needs of individuals who may require Respite services from 24 hours up to 2 weeks.  The Respite Program is open to individuals with any type of disability who require staff assistance or supervision with any activities of daily living and/or medication administration.

Residents who have been in the Respite Program have chosen to do so because they wanted a change of scenery and a chance to meet new people and participate in new activities such as horticulture, community outings to local theaters and restaurants, etc.  Some Respite residents have family members who have an emergency situation where they are forced to travel and are unable to care for their loved one and the current crisis successfully.  These caregivers have stated that they felt greater peace of mind knowing their loved one was active and having a wonderful time in a beautiful wooded setting.

Prior to admission, the individual’s interests are noted and are used in order to design the optimal daily plan for both personal care and stimulating activities.
